About me
Hugo Coelho, 22, is a freelance journalist currently taking an MA in International Journalism at University of Westminster, London.
He started out as a reporter at Notícias da Amadora, a Portuguese regional newspaper in 2005. During eight months Hugo wrote about education and youth issues for the weekly.
He is a graduate of on Political Science and International Relations and aspires to become a war reporter.
For his MA’s final portfolio, Hugo will join the Portuguese deployment in Pristina to report on EU’s nation-builiding force in the first days of independent Kosovo.
At the moment, Hugo is a feature writer and a photographer at the online magazine London Out Loud. He also heads the Marketing and Public Relations Department.
“Espada de Pau”, meaning in English “The Wooden Sword” is a blog dedicated to international politics debate.

Daqui é a menina da aldeia.
Passei apenas para te dizer que me orgulho de ter amigos que serão alguém, “minimamente” importantes e, acima de tudo, interessantes para este mundo.
